Healthy Smoothies your kids will love
Let’s face it it’s not always easy to get our kids to eat fruit or veggies. They might be more inclined to eat fruit but veggies is another problem. My daughter loves fruit, and although her veggie palate is growing its still pretty limited. Usually, when she wakes up from her afternoon nap, she wants a snack. We recently introduced smoothies, and she loves them. I sneak in all the veggies she isn’t quite sure about yet. You can vary this recipe, by changes for the seasons, what you have on hand or even for the pickiest of eaters simplifying to just a few ingredients.
One thing to keep in mind is keeping it healthy. It is easy to start loading up fruit, which is loaded with sugar. I also add protein powder for a boost.
