Did you know that only 1/3 of our elementary age students read at a proficient level? Or that babies’ brains are 85% developed by age 5? Children who are read to as babies and continue the habit of reading into adulthood are far more likely to pursue extended education and earn higher incomes than those who are minimally exposed to books. Our current educational system simply does not have the resources or time to encourage our children to read on their own and it has become even more important that families make reading a priority in the home.
