Detox Apple Lemon Ginger Juice

Juicing fruits and vegetables we know have amazing health benefits,  loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. When we juice it allows our body to take in larger amounts at one time, fueling, nourishing and healing our body.

Apples

Perhaps the biggest benefit of apples is the polyphenol and flavonoids which offer antioxidant and anti-inflammatory protection to slow aging and deter chronic illness.  Juicing the apple as opposed to just drinking the juice is in the peel.  The peel has the highest level of these polyphenols which aid in helping protect and battle cancers, heart conditions, inflammation, and asthma.  Research has shown that eating apples regularly helps people have better lung function and reduce the occurrence of asthmas. Over time helping your body naturally fight asthma by reducing the histamines.  Another  major polyphenols quercetin found in the peel decreases the production of plaque around the heart and is particularly helpful in the fight against cancers, especially lung, the colon has proven effective against cancer cell growth.

Lemons

Lemons are loaded with vitamin C, Potassium, Magnesium, and  Copper.  These vitamins and minerals help reduce the free radicals.  These free radicals cause aging and are linked to inflammation and cancers. Lemons aid in digestion in helping our body to produce acids which promote and contribute to process foods as well as cleaning toxins in our liver.  More research is showing higher levels of Vitamin C aid in cancer prevention and increase immune support. Lemons also have pectin.  The pectin helps us feel full and aids in weight loss.

Ginger

Concerns about cancer and prevention are on everyone’s mind these days.  Ginger is a super fighter against cancers especially ovarian.  And new research is showing similar in prostate cancers as well. Ginger has special nutrients that trick the cancer cells into killing themselves.  Studies have also shown ginger works by blocking cancer from growing, limiting its ability to spread.  Ginger will be a food you will want to slip in any chance you get.  Ginger also keeps your mind healthy preventing brain loss. One of the antioxidants found in ginger helps to sooth the airway reducing asthma issues.  Using ginger regularly can help onset of asthma symptoms.  Inflammation in the body, primarily joint can be decreased by using ginger as well, a natural anti-inflammatory.  A powerful immune booster indeed!

My favorite juice

  • 6 organic lemons
  • 2-3 organic apples
  • 4″ ginger knob(more or less, based on your taste) I love ginger!

Using a juicer or juice extractor Green Power Juicer – KPE 1304  alternate a few lemons to a few apples.  This cuts down on the pulp build up and extra juice. Add the ginger then repeat this process until completed.  Juice is strong; you can dilute with water and sip all day.
